History

Since 1969, encase has been serving the industry with creative solutions to packaging conundrums.

1969

The foundations of our company are built with the purchase of our Banbury site and the building of the first factory - the first step of our historical journey.

1978

Kraft Containers at Leeds Bradford airport was purchased, eventually becoming Encase Northern in 1984.

1981

Encase Scotland formed, following the purchase of the Pilkington Glass factory at Larkhall.

1988

Encase Scotland relocates to East Kilbride and new conversion equipment is installed.

1997

The land and buildings of British Telecom Engineering, adjacent to the Banbury site, were purchased.

2003

Factory extended and 2.5m BHS corrugator installed at Banbury site.

2011

John Stephen Kalmanson opens Test Drive Centres at all 3 sites.

2014

The East Kilbride site is purchased and a Solarco big boxmaker installed, expanding our manufacturing capabilities.

2019

A year of change! 2019 has seen encase undergo a full re-brand. We have also become members of Alliabox, a Pan-European network of independent, family-owned corrugated packaging companies.
