Encase Ltd is accredited to ISO 9001 2000. This system sets out the standards and procedures for all our business activities.
The Company also holds BRC/IOP Global Standard – Food Packaging and Other Packaging Materials (Issue 2) for the manufacture of corrugated packaging.
Encase is committed to promoting and exceeding these standards - so our customers can avoid their customers being put at risk.

Encase and the Environment

By its very nature corrugated board is a superb, environmentally–friendly product.
It's manufactured from at least 70% virgin fibre pulp (produced under FSC certification) which consists of forest thinnings and waste from sawmills. The remaining 30% of the raw pulp material is from recycled fibre.
When it’s time to dispose of the corrugated box or container it’s fully recyclable and biodegradable – right down to the inks we use for decorative printing and graphics.
Corrugated cardboard currently has a recycling rate of 84% -that’s the highest recycling rate of any packaging material in the UK. As a direct result, every four months an area the size of Greater London is saved from landfill.
Encase corrugated manufacturing plants are totally CFC free and manufacture to the latest ISO environmental standards.
In order to minimise our carbon footprint at Encase we have regular energy reviews at all our facilities and are working hard to optimise our delivery systems so our customers still get what they want when they want it, but without incurring unnecessary cost to the environment. This obviously includes reviewing vehicle fill, journey planning, and the efficiency of the vehicles themselves.
The new substrates we produce are thinner in calliper and have logistical and storage benefits – reducing vehicle movements and thereby carbon dioxide emissions.
Encase - leaving a lighter footprint on the world.
