Encase Banbury Accredited with AA BRC Issue 6 Rating

Updated 08/09/2020

At Encase, we’re always looking for ways to improve our processes from an efficiency, environmental, and safety perspective. We understand the importance of holding industry accreditations and strive to ensure we are always up to date with the latest guidelines. Most recently our Banbury site has been awarded an AA BRC rating for Packaging Materials, under Issue 6 of the certification. Banbury now joins our Leeds site which also holds certification under the same issue. Later in the year, we will be welcoming the auditors to our site in East Kilbride who currently hold an AA rating under the previous issue.

How does this affect cardboard packaging production?

To effectively serve the food and beverage markets, certain legislative requirements must be met. The BRC certificate covers the following areas of compliance, ensuring all accredited companies demonstrate a proactive approach to food safety:

  • Site cleanliness standards
  • Printed packaging controls
  • Product inspection
  • Control of foreign bodies

As a cardboard packaging manufacturer, Encase plays an important role in the health and safety of food storage and distribution. We have a number of processes in place to ensure our packaging meets the needs of the food and beverage industry, giving our clients the reassurances they need to get their product safely to market.

If you’re interested in talking to someone at Encase about our BRC accreditation or would like to discuss a cardboard packaging project in more detail, contact us today.
